Kickoff: Spitzer’s Corner

Start off your LES crawl at Spitzer’s Corner—an American gastropub that will offer an array of delicious signature dishes including a fried chicken sandwich, truffle mac & cheese, and summery watermelon feta salad. Grub Crawlers can also enjoy tasty treats supplied by neighboring spots, Pok Pok Phat Thai, Mission Cantina, BabyCakes, and lively music by the keyboardist from Sammy’s Roumanian.



Prepare to be wowed by the Lower East Side’s modern newcomer, Contra, where chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabian Von Hauske offer a menu of American Nouveau cuisine that changes daily. During the Grub Crawl, guests will settle into the cozy main restaurant and bar to experience an exclusive three-course tasting menu paired with organic wines.



Tuck into this basement level cocktail club (from the folks behind NYC’s famed Death & Co.) to experience Nitecap founder Natasha David demo two seasonal drinks featuring versatile gins from New York Distilling Company. The cocktails will be paired with light snacks, such as grilled artichoke hearts and crab croquettes, courtesy of upstairs restaurant Schapiro’s.


Pig and Khao

Crawl into this LES hotspot where Top Chef-testant Leah Cohen will fire up bold Southeast Asian cuisine and special off-menu dishes, including Filipino ceviche, lumpia shanghai, and Pig & Khao’s famously delicious BBQ pork ribs. Stay refreshed with an assortment of beverages such as spicy pakwan watermelon cocktails, San Miguel brews, and PBR on tap!



Say Salud at this stop, Huertas—a new Basque-inspired dining destination. Chef Jonah Miller will serve traditional Spanish cuisine including chorizo migas with slow poached egg, along with churros and chocolate—all accompanied by their refrescos.
